China Eastern goes to Vientiane
Hainan Airlines to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore Airlines adds Hangzhou route
April 3rd, 2026. China Eastern will introduce a new route connecting Wuhan with the Laotian capital, Vientiane, starting on April 10th. The flight will operate once a week, departing every Friday.
Flight number MU2571 will take off from Wuhan Tianhe International Airport at 23:05 and arrive at Wattay International Airport, Vientiane at 01:05 the next morning. The return trip, flight number MU2572, will leave Vientiane at 02:05 on Saturday and arrive back in Wuhan at 06:05.
A Boeing 737-800 aircraft will serve the route, and the flight time will be three hours in each direction.
Chongqing to Kuala Lumpur
A new daily service linking Chongqing and Malaysia’s commercial hub, Kuala Lumpur, will be launched by Hainan Airlines on May 16th.
Flight number HU7923 will depart from Jiangbei International Airport, Chongqing, at 08:00 and arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 13:05. The return journey, flight number HU7924, will leave Kuala Lumpur at 14:15 and land back in Chongqing at 19:15.
The route will be served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft, and the journey time will be about five hours in each direction.
Singapore Airlines to Hangzhou
On June 1st, Singapore Airlines will launch a daily service to Hangzhou, the capital of China’s Zhejiang province and home to the UNESCO-listed West Lake. “The launch of services to Hangzhou caters to demand from both leisure and business travellers to China,” said Dai Haoyu, the airline’s Senior Vice President of Marketing.
Flight number SQ 838 will depart from Singapore’s Changi Airport at 17:40 and touch down at Xiaoshan International Airport, Hangzhou at 22:50. The return leg, flight number SQ 839, will leave Hangzhou at 00:10 and arrive back in Singapore at 05:10.
The journey will last for approximately five hours each way on board an Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
