Asiana Airlines adds Seoul to Milan
November 4th, 2025. From March 30th, Hong Kong’s flag carrier, Cathay Pacific, will be resuming its service to Seattle. The route was first launched in March 2019 but was dumped in 2020 because of the pandemic.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Cathay Pacific back to the Seattle market. Their return not only reconnects our region with a world-class airline but also deepens our ties with Hong Kong, one of Asia’s most vibrant and dynamic cities. This new service also offers travelers seamless access to Cathay’s extensive network across Southeast Asia, the Chinese Mainland, and India,” said Sam Cho, Port of Seattle Commissioner.
The service will operate five times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Flight number CX852 will take off from Hong Kong International Airport at 13:30 and will fly back in time across the Pacific Ocean and the international dateline, arriving at Seattle Tacoma Airport at 10:10. The return leg, flight number CX853, will depart Seattle at 11:50 and touch down again in Hong Kong at 16:45 the following afternoon.
Airbus A350-900 aircraft will serve the route. The duration will be about eleven and a half hours for the outbound flight and just under fourteen hours for the return.
Seoul to Milan
Asiana Airlines is launching a new service connecting Seoul with Italy’s commercial and economic hub, Milan. The flight will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays commencing on March 31st.
Flight number OZ581 will depart from Seoul’s Incheon Airport at 13:40 and will touch down at Milan’s Malpensa Airport at 20:00. The return journey, flight number OZ582, will leave Milan at 22:00 at arrive back in Seoul at 16:40 the following day.
The outbound journey will be approximately thirteen and a half hours, the return about two hours shorter. An Airbus A350-900 will serve the route.
