August 26, 2024. Thai AirAsia X is reinstating its flights from Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport to Sydney, Australia. The new services will take off on December 2 and will operate six flights a week on five days with two different time slots.
Flight number XJ382 will leave Don Mueang at 17:15 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, arriving in Sydney at 06.50 the following morning local time. The return flight, XJ383, will depart Sydney on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, at 08:15 touching down in Bangkok at 14:10.
Flight number XJ388 will leave Bangkok at 07:00 on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays arriving in Sydney at 20:35. For the return journey flight number XJ389 will leave Sydney at 21:50 landing back in Bangkok at 03:45.

Thai AirAsia X currently operates a fleet of Airbus A330 aircraft flying from its hub at Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok. It allows international passengers to connect seamlessly with its local network serving popular destinations such as Phuket, Krabi, and Chiang Mai as well as Da Nang in Vietnam, and Chennai, Bangalore and Ahmedabad in India.

Passengers can choose the Fly-Thru service at Don Mueang Airport to pass through immigration and receive their luggage at their terminal destination,” said Thai AirAsia X CEO Tassapon Bijleveld.
The hub also connects seven core international destinations; Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, and Nagoya in Japan, Seoul in South Korea, Shanghai in China and now, Sydney in Australia. The airline also connects to the AirAsia Group network with seven airlines now operating under the AirAsia brand with over 150 destinations via key hubs in Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta and Manila.
