AirAsia X flies to Karachi
FlyDubai to Bangladesh
March 17th, 2025. Starting from May 30th AirAsia X will launch direct flights between Kuala Lumpur and Karachi, Pakistan’s financial and industrial hub as well as being the country’s largest city.
It is located on the south coast along the Arabian Sea coast with beaches, ancient landscapes, and coral reefs at Churna Island. Karachi is also steeped in history with sites dating as far back as the Stone Age. More recent monuments include numerous ancient forts and museums with both Rajasthani and Renaissance architectural styles.
“Both countries offer a variety of attractions and exciting travel experiences, whether for business, leisure or worship, and will enjoy significant benefits in the tourism and travel sectors,” said Benyamin Ismail, CEO of AirAsia X.
The service will operate four times a week on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Flight number D7108 will depart from Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 18:25 and arrive at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi at 21:30.
The return journey, flight number D7109, will take off from Karachi at 22.45 and arrive back in Kuala Lumpur at 08:05 the next morning.
The outbound flight is six hours and five minutes while the return is fifteen minutes longer and will be served by Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
Dubai to Bangladesh
Starting from September 16th FlyDubai will resume its service between Dubai and Chittagong on the southeastern coast of Bangladesh, Located on the Bay of Bengal, Chittagong is the country’s second-largest city and main port. It sits on the north bank of the Karnaphuli River estuary and is surrounded by lush forests and hillsides. Cox’s Bazar, which boasts the world’s longest natural beach is about 100 kilometres to the south.
Flight number FZ563 will take off from Dubai International Airport at 01:45 and arrive at Chittagong’s Shah Amanat International Airport at 08:45. The return leg, flight number FZ564, will depart from Chittagong at 09:45 and touch down again in Dubai at 13:20.
The flight will be served by Boeing B737-800 aircraft. The outbound journey will last five hours and the return flight thirty-five minutes longer.
