AirAsia Move teams up with Air Mauritius

Air Mauritius has teamed up with AirAsia Move, the online travel agency (OTA) previously known simply as the Airasia SuperApp. The deal allows travellers to use the app to book Air Mauritius flights across its network to Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Indian Ocean region.

From now until the end of June, app users can enjoy a discount of 100 Malaysian Ringgit for any Air Mauritius flight from Kuala Lumpur to Mauritius by applying the promo code AAMAURITIUS at checkout.

“Airlines that partner directly with AirAsia Move, can leverage our extensive marketing initiatives and reach a much wider audience without any extra costs, aside from providing their guests with convenience as our AirAsia Move platform enables virtual interlining where travellers can book multiple carriers in one itinerary. For example, an Air Mauritius guest travelling from Mauritius to Kuala Lumpur and then connecting to Chiang Rai on AirAsia can easily make the booking in one itinerary,” noted Dabraj Sing, Chief Business Officer of AirAsia Move.

AirAsia Move works directly with over 70 airlines and its users can also select from over 900,000 hotels around the world as well as other travel-related products such as online duty-free shopping and travel insurance. All of these services are included in the AirAsia Rewards program which allows users to earn AirAsia points for all transactions across the ecosystem from within the app.

“We are delighted to partner with AirAsia Move, enabling our passengers to enjoy a seamless experience with their user-friendly interface, making it easy to find and book the perfect flights while simplifying the booking process,” said Ziyaad Parthasee, Chief Commercial Officer of Air Mauritius.

Mauritius is a small island country in the Indian Ocean with a population of about 1.25 million. Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport is about 32 kilometres from the capital city of Port Louis. As well as the main island of Mauritius, the territory also includes the islands of Rodrigues, Agaléga, and St. Brandon.
