Airline adds 50 weekly departures from Mactan International
September 29th, 2025. AirAsia Philippines is beefing up its presence in Cebu’s Mactan International Airport with the launch or relaunch of a range of services, both domestic and international. The domestic services are intended to support new international routes.
The new domestic services include routes to Davao, Caticlan, and Iloilo. The Cebu to Davao routes will take off on November 15th and see 18 flights weekly, three flights a day on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and two each for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Flight number Z2521 will depart from Cebu at 13:10 and arrive at Davao’s Francisco Bangoy International Airport at 14:15. The return leg, flight number Z2522, leaves Davao at 14:40 and arrives back at 15:45.
The second trip of the day, flight number Z2523, departs Cebu at 19:00 and lands in Davao at 20:05. It returns to Cebu as flight number Z2524, departing Davao at 20:30 and landing at 21:35.
The late-night service is the one that doesn’t operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Flight number Z2525 departs from Cebu at 22:25 and lands in Davao at 23:30. Its return leg, flight number Z2526, leaves Davao at 23:55 and lands back in Cebu at 01:00 the next morning. The flight duration of all flights will be about sixty-five minutes each way.
The 50-minute hop to Caticlan, the airport closest to the holiday island of Boracay, launches on November 16th with 11 flights a week. Two a day on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Flight number Z2550 will depart from Cebu at 07:00 and arrive in Caticlan at 07:50. Flight number Z2552 departs at 09:45 and arrives at 10:35. The return legs, flight numbers Z2551 and Z2553, respectively, depart at 08:20 and 11:05 and land back in Cebu at 09:10 and 11:55.
On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, flight number Z2552 takes off from Cebu at 16:10 and arrives in Caticlan at 17:05. It completes its round trip as flight number Z2553, leaving Caticlan at 17:30 and landing back in Cebu at 18:25
The Iloilo service will launch on November 16th with four flights a week on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Flight number Z2530 will depart at 16:10 and arrive at Iloilo International Airport at 17:10. The return trip will leave Iloilo at 17:35 and arrive back in Cebu at 18:35. The flight duration will be about an hour in each direction.
The international routes
November 15th will see the relaunch of a twice-daily service to Kuala Lumpur. Flight number Z27112 will hit the runway at 03:30 and arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 07:20. The return journey, flight number Z2 7113, will leave Kuala Lumpur at 08:00 and land back in Cebu at 12:05.
The second trip of the day, flight number Z27114, departs Cebu at 12:55 and touches down in Kuala Lumpur at 16:45. It returns as flight number Z27115 and arrives back in Cebu at 21:25. The flight time is approximately four hours in each direction
On the same day, the airline will also relaunch its route to Macau. The flight will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Flight number Z27710 will take off from Cebu at 05:50 and arrive at Macau International Airport at 08:40. The return trip, flight number Z27711, will depart from Macau at 09:10 and touch down back in Cebu at 12:00. The journey will last a little under three hours in each direction.
All the above flights will probably deploy Airbus A320 or A330 aircraft.
