October 3rd 2025. Air India Express is set to give its hub at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport a boost with four new international routes and three domestic. The new international flights will serve Bangkok, Jeddah, Kuwait and Riyadh.

The Bangkok service launches on October 18th and will operate daily. Flight number IX118 will depart from Bengaluru at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport at 16:45. The return leg, flight number IX883, will leave Bangkok at 17:05 and arrive back in Bengaluru at 19:45.

The duration of the flight will be about four hours and fifteen minutes each way, and the flight will be served initially by Boeing 737 Max 8 and Airbus A320 from late October.

The Jeddah service will take off on October 26th and operate three times a week on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays. Flight number IX941 will take off from Bengaluru at 05:25 and will touch down at Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz Intl Airport at 09:10. The return trip, flight number IX942, departs from Jeddah at 10:10 and lands back in Bengaluru at 18:20.

The outbound duration will be about six hours and fifteen minutes, and about half an hour less for the return. The flight will be served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

The service to Kuwait City launches a day later and also operates three times a week. Flight number IX870 will depart from Bengaluru at 22:20 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and will arrive at Kuwait International Airport at 00:50 the next day. The return leg, flight number IX871, leaves Kuwait at 01:50 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and arrives back in Bengaluru at 09:20.

Flight time is about five hours in each direction, and a Boeing 737-800 will serve the route.

The Riyadh service also takes off on October 27th and will operate three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Flight number IX 895 departs from Bengaluru at 11:45 and lands at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport at 15:05. The return journey, flight number IX896, leaves Riyadh at 16:05 and arrives back in Bengaluru at 23:30.

The flight will be served by Airbus A320neo or Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The outbound flight duration will be around six hours, while the return will be an hour less.

The domestic routes

The first of the three domestic routes has already launched. Flight number IX1051, a daily service to Dehradun in the Himalayan foothills about 200 kilometres north of Delhi, departs from Bengaluru at 12:50 and lands at Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun at 16:00. The return leg, flight number IX1092, departs from Dehradun at 16:30 and arrives back in Bengaluru at 19:30.

The journey time will be about three hours each way, and the flight will be served by Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

Daily services to Jodhpur and Udaipur both take off on November 1st, both served by Airbus A320 aircraft. Flight number IX2462 departs from Bengaluru at 12:45 and arrives in Jodhpur at 15:10. The return trip, flight number IX2463, leaves Jodhpur at 15:45 and lands back in Bengaluru at 18:25. The flight will be approximately two and a half hours in each direction.

Flight number IX2606 will depart for Udaipur at 07:50 and will arrive at Maharana Pratap Airport at 10:10. The return leg, flight number IX2607, will leave Udaipur at 10:40 and touch down again in Bengaluru at 13:00.

The flight duration will be about two hours and twenty minutes each way.
