Air Asia reinstates more flights.
Starting from July 3rd Air Asia will reinstate flights between Kuala Lumpur to Sihanoukville, on the south coast of Cambodia. The route had been suspended for four years during the Covid-19 pandemic. The 110-minute flights will be on board 180 seat Airbus A320s and will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Flight will AK264 leaves Kuala Lumpur at 12.10, arriving in Sihanoukville at 13.00 local time. The return journey, flight AK265, will depart Sihanoukville at 13.30 and arrive back in Kuala Lumpur at 16.20.
Air Asia Cambodia launched domestic routes with four daily flights linking Sihanoukville with Siem Reap and four daily flights linking the coastal city with Phnom Penh earlier this year.
Return to Pattaya
Last week the airline also resumed services between Kuala Lumpur and the popular tourist destination, Pattaya in Thailand. This service operates three times a week on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays. Flight AK840 departs from Kuala Lumpur at 11:00, arriving at U-Tapao airport at 12:05. U-Tapao airport is around 40 kilometres from Pattaya City and a little less than 60 kilometres from Sri Ban Phe Pier for ferries to Ko Samet. The return flight, AK841, leaves U-Tapao at 12:30 arriving back in Kuala Lumpur at 15:30.
These flights are now linked into Air Asia’s international network which covers more than 130 destinations across Asia and Australia via their hubs in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok.
