AirAsia X adds to Malaysia’s domestic timetable

June 17th, 2026. Bangkok will be the next destination on Sun PhuQuoc Airways’ timetable. The airline has already opened reservations for a daily service that is set to link the Vietnamese holiday island with the Thai capital on August 8th.

Flight number 9G701 will take off from Phu Quoc International Airport at 10:35 and will touch down at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport at 11:55. The return trip, flight number 9G702, will leave Bangkok at 13:10 and touch down again in Phu Quoc at 14:30.

An Airbus A320 Neo has been earmarked for the route, and the duration will be about one hour and twenty minutes in each direction.

Domestic flights from Kuala Lumpur

AirAsia X is adding seats to three popular domestic routes from the country’s commercial hub, Kuala Lumpur, during the latter part of June and July. The destinations are Kuching, Penang, and Tawau, and all will operate daily between June 23rd and July 23rd on board an Airbus A321 Neo aircraft.

First on the runway will be flight number D75202 to Kuching. This will depart from Terminal 2 of Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 07:00 and arrive at Kuching International Airport at 08:50. The return leg, flight number D75203, leaves Kuching at 09:25 and lands back in Kuala Lumpur at 11:15. The flight time is scheduled at one hour and fifty minutes in each direction.

The Penang route, flight number D75404, will take off from Kuala Lumpur at 11:50 and touch down at Penang International Airport at 12:50. The return journey, flight number D75405, will leave Penang at 13:25 and land back in Kuala Lumpur at 14:25. The short hop will last sixty minutes each way.

The route to Tawau, on the eastern side of Sabah state, will depart from Kuala Lumpur at 15:00, as flight number D75304, and will arrive in Tawau at 17:55. The return trip, flight number D75305, leaves Tawau at 18:30 and arrives back in Kuala Lumpur at 21:15. The journey time will be a little under three hours
