China Eastern to serve Zurich and Stockholm, VietJet goes to Amsterdam

March 25th, 2026. China Eastern is launching a new route linking Shanghai with Zurich, in Switzerland. The flight will operate three times a week on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, commencing on June 16th.

Flight number MU255 will take off from Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport at 01:55 and arrive at Zurich International Airport at 07:55. The return journey, flight number MU256, will leave Zurich at 14:05 and arrive back in Shanghai at 06:40 the next morning.

An Airbus A350-900 will serve the route, and the outbound flight time will be about twelve hours, the return approximately ten and a half hours.

Shanghai to Stockholm

Reservations have also opened for the relaunch of the airline’s route linking Shanghai with the Swedish capital, Stockholm. The flight had been suspended during the Covid pandemic but is due to take off again on June 22nd.

The service will operate three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Flight number MU289 will depart from Shanghai at 15:00 and arrive at Arlanda Airport, Stockholm at 20:10. The return leg, flight number MU290, will leave Stockholm at 22:40 and touch down again in Shanghai at 14:40 the following afternoon.

The westward journey will be a little over eleven hours in duration, the return about one hour less. The flight will be served by Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

Hanoi to Amsterdam

Starting on June 16th, VietJet will launch a route connecting Hanoi with Amsterdam. The service will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Flight number VN83 will depart from Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi, at 03:50 and arrive at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport at 11:00. The return trip, flight number VN82, will leave Amsterdam at 14:00 and touch down again in Hanoi at 06:00 the next morning.

The route will be served by Airbus A350 aircraft, and the journey time will be a little over twelve hours for the outbound flight and about eleven hours for the return.
