Korea to Taichung and Hong Kong
New route between Ho Chi Minh City and Phuket

February 23rd, 2026. South Korean carrier, Jin Air, has a new route lined up linking the southern port city of Busan with Taichung, in Taiwan. The service will commence on March 30th, and will operate five times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Flight number LJ741 will take off from Gimhae International Airport, Busan at 13:35 and will arrive at Taichung International Airport at 15:00. The return trip, flight number LJ742, will leave Taichung at 16:00 and arrive back in Busan at 19:20.

The journey time will be a little under two and a half hours in each direction and the route will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Jeju to Hong Kong

From April 2nd the airline is also set to launch a route connecting Jeju and Hong Kong. The flight will depart five times a week on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Flight number LJ713 will depart from Jeju International Airport at 21:30 and touch down at Hong Kong International Airport at Chek Lap Kok at 23:35. The return leg, flight number LJ714, will leave Hong Kong at 02:00 on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and will arrive back in Jeju at 06:05.

The journey time will be a little over three hours each way on board a Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Ho Chi Minh City to Phuket

Also launching on April 2nd is a Vietnam Airlines service linking Ho Chi Minh City with Thailand’s popular holiday island, Phuket. The route will operate five time a week on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Flight number VN621 will take off from Ho Chi Minh’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 16:00 and arrive in Phuket at 17:50. The return journey, flight number VN620 will leave Phuket at 18:45 and touch down again in Ho Chi Minh City at 20:45.

The Journey is approximately two hours and the flight will be served by Airbus A321 aircraft.
