New routes from SEA to Europe
Hanoi and Bangkok to Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur to London
February 18th, 2026. Vietnam Airlines has scheduled June 16th to launch a new service between Hanoi and Amsterdam. The flight will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Flight number VN83 will take off from Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport at 03:50 and arrive at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol at 11:00. The return leg, flight number VN82, will leave Amsterdam at 14:00 and arrive back in Hanoi at 06:00 the following morning.
An Airbus A350-900 aircraft will serve the route, which will take around twelve hours for the outward journey and an hour less for the return.
Bangkok to Amsterdam
A month later, Thai Airways will resume its daily service on the very competitive route between Bangkok and Amsterdam. The airline last visited the Dutch capital in 1998.
Flight number TG936 will depart from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport at 05:35 and arrive in Amsterdam at 12:40. The return journey, flight number TG937, will leave Amsterdam at 14:15 and arrive back in Bangkok at 06:35 the following morning.
The outbound journey time will be twelve hours, and the return about eleven hours and twenty minutes. The flight will be served by Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
Kuala Lumpur to London
AirAsia X has lined up a new service linking Kuala Lumpur with London via Bahrain, where the airline enjoys fifth freedom rights. The service takes off on June 26th and will operate daily, though the transit times in Bahrain will vary slightly on the outward journey.
Flight number D7972 will depart from Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 22:00 on all days and arrive at Bahrain International Airport at 00:40 the next morning, for a stop of one hour and forty-five minutes. The flight continues at 02:25 and lands at London’s Gatwick Airport at 07:30. The slight difference occurs on Thursdays when the flight departs Bahrain at 02:05 and arrives in London at 07:05.
The return journey, flight number D7973, leaves London at 10:25 and arrives back in Kuala Lumpur at 09:55 the next morning after a two-hour stopover in Bahrain between 18:55 and 20:55 local time.
The overall journey time between Kuala Lumpur and London will be about sixteen and a half hours, and the route will be served by Airbus A340-300 aircraft.
