China Southern flies to the Finnish capital
Xiamen Airlines go to Ho Chi Minh, and Asiana to Chengdu and Chongqing
January 23rd, 2026. China Southern will be introducing direct flights between Beijing and the Finnish capital, Helsinki. The service will take off on March 29th, initially operating three times a week on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with plans to increase to daily on June 20th.
Flight number CZ8171 will depart from Beijing Daxing International Airport at 14:45 and touch down at Vantaa Airport, Helsinki at 18:35. The return leg, flight number CZ8172, will leave Helsinki at 20:35 and arrive back in Beijing at 09:45 the following morning.
A Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will serve the route, and the flight duration will be a little under nine hours for the outbound journey and about eight hours for the return.
Hangzhou to Ho Chi Minh City
Starting on February 10th, Xiamen Airlines will launch a daily direct service between Hangzhou and Ho Chi Minh City, in southern Vietnam. The flight is scheduled to operate daily until March 28th.
Flight number MF8701 will take off from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport at 19:45 and will land at Ho Chi Minh’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 22:50. The return journey departs from Ho Chi Minh at 06:25 and arrives back in Hangzhou at 11:05.
The outbound journey will last approximately four hours, and a little less for the return. A Boeing 737-800 will serve the route.
Seoul to Chengdu and Chongqing
Meanwhile, Asiana Airlines will resume two routes from Seoul to Chengdu and Chongqing. Both will operate daily and launch on March 29th.
Flight number OZ323 will take off from Seoul’s Incheon International Airport at 20:00 and will arrive at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport at 23:10. The return leg, flight number OZ324, will leave Chengdu at 00:30 and arrive back in Seoul at 05:10.
The outbound journey will last about four hours, and the return about half an hour less.
The service to Chongqing, flight number OZ353, will depart from Seoul at 21:55 and touch down at Jiangbei International Airport, Chongqing, at 01:00 the following morning. The return leg, flight number OZ354, will leave Chongqing at 02:00 and arrive back in Seoul at 06:25.
The journey time will be about four hours for the outward trip and about thirty minutes quicker for the return.
Both flights will be served by Airbus A321 Neo aircraft.
