Jetstar resumes Tokyo to Hong Kong

November 24th, 2025. South Korea’s Aero K will be introducing a new service to the Philippines. The route connects Cheongju, which is about 100 kilometres south of Seoul, with Cebu. The flight will operate daily starting on December 30th.

Cebu is the Philippines’ second-largest city and the gateway to the Visayas region with its pristine beaches and rich marine biodiversity. Mactan Island, where the airport is located, is also famous for being the site where local chieftain Datu Lapu-Lapu killed Ferdinand Magellan in battle. Cebu City has grown rapidly in recent years and is sometimes referred to as the Queen City of the South.

Flight number RF523 will take off from Cheongju International Airport at 21:25 and arrive at Cebu’s Mactan International Airport at 01:00 the next morning. The return leg, flight number RF524, will leave Cebu at 02:00 and arrive back in Cheongju at 07:20.

The route will be served by Airbus A320 aircraft, and the journey time will be about four and a half hours in each direction.

Tokyo to Hong Kong

Starting on February 13th, Jetstar Japan will reintroduce its service linking Tokyo with Hong Kong, a route it hasn’t flown since 2020.

The service will operate daily with flight number GK027 taking off from Tokyo’s Narita Airport at 20:20 and touching down in Hong Kong at 00:35 the next morning. The return journey, flight number GK028, will depart from Hong Kong at 02:00 and arrive back in Tokyo at 07:10.

The outbound flight duration will be a little over five hours, while the return will be around 60 minutes quicker. The flight will be served by an Airbus A320-200 aircraft.
