November 14th, 2025. Starlux Airlines will be offering flights from Taiwan to Miyako over the winter season. The airline will operate two routes with two flights a week each from both Taipei and Taichung.
Taipei to Miyako will be first on the runway, on February 12th, with flights departing from Taoyuan International Airport on Mondays and Thursdays. Flight number JX886 will take off at 07:20 on Mondays and 07:00 on Thursdays, with both scheduled to land at Miyako’s Shimojishima Airport at 09:35. The return leg, flight number JX887, will depart from Miyako at 10:35 on both days and will arrive back in Taipei at 11:00.
A day later, on February 13th, the airline will introduce a short seasonal service from Taichung, which will operate twice a week until March 28th.
On Tuesdays, flight number JX308 will depart from Taichung International Airport at 08:35 and arrive in Miyako at 10:50. The Friday departure time will be 07:20 and arrival at 09:35. The return journey, flight number JX309, departs at 11:50 on Tuesdays and 10:35, Fridays, arriving back in Taichung at 12:15 or 11:00, respectively.
The duration for all flights will be between 75 and 90 minutes each way and will be served by Airbus A321 Neo aircraft.
India to Abu Dhabi
Air India Express has opened reservations for two new services to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The flights both take off on December 2nd, one from Delhi and the other from Pune.
First on the Runway will be flight number IX178, which will depart from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport at 09:55 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and arrive at Zayed International Airport, Abu Dhabi at 12:25. The return leg, flight number IX 179 will leave Abu Dhabi at 13:40 and arrive back in Delhi at 19:10.
The aircraft will be an Airbus A320, and the flight time will be about four hours in each direction.According to the airline’s booking platform this route only operates until January 10th.
The service from Pune will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Flight number IX283 will take off from Pune International Airport at 20:50 and will touch down in Abu Dhabi at 22:45. The return journey will depart from Abu Dhabi at 23:45 and will land back in Pune at 04:15 the following morning.
The outbound flight duration will be about three and a half hours, and the return will be about half an hour less. This route will also be served by Airbus A320 aircraft.
