Virgin Atlantic flies to Seoul
Asiana goes to the Hungarian capital
November 7th, 2026. On March 29th, Virgin Atlantic Airways will launch a new daily, direct service linking London and Seoul.
“We’re thrilled to be launching our new service to Seoul at one of the most captivating times to visit this vibrant and forward-looking city. From historic palaces and world-class shopping to a thriving food scene and cultural festivals, there’s so much for travellers to explore,” enthused Juha Jaervinen, the airline’s chief commercial officer.
Flight number VS208 will take off from London’s Heathrow Airport at 14:10 and will touch down at Incheon International Airport in Seoul at 10:30 the following morning. The return journey, flight number VS209, will leave Seoul at 12:20 and arrive back in London at 18:50.
The flight will be served by Boeing 787-900 aircraft. The eastbound flight duration will be about twelve and a half hours, and about two hours longer in the other direction.
Seoul to Budapest
Meanwhile, Asiana Airlines has opened reservations for a service connecting Seoul with the Hungarian capital, Budapest.
The city straddles the River Danube with the historic, UNESCO-listed, old town on the western side of the river. A funicular railway carries passengers up the hill to Buda Castle for fabulous architecture and stunning views.
The service will operate twice a week on Fridays and Sundays. Flight number OZ547 will depart from Incheon International Airport at 12:35 and will arrive at Ferenc Liszt International Airport, Budapest at 18:05. The return leg, flight number OZ548, will leave Budapest at 20:00 and will touch down again in Seoul at 13:40 the following day.
The duration of the outbound flight will be around twelve and a half hours, while the return journey will be about two hours shorter. The airline will deploy Airbus A350-900 aircraft for the flight.
