China Southern to add three new routes.
Changchun to Osaka, Guangzhou to Riyadh, and Wuhan to Moscow

July 14th, 2025. September will see the relaunch of two services and the inauguration of a new one. The first onto the runway will be a resumption of the Changchun to Osaka service, which last operated 13 years ago. The service will operate three times a week with departures on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Flight number CZ8093 will depart from Changchun Longjia International Airport at 08:00 and touch down at Osaka Kansai International Airport at 12:00. The return leg, flight number CZ8094, will leave Osaka at 13:00 and arrive back in Changchun at 15:30.

The flight time will be about three hours for the outward journey and about half an hour longer for the return. An Airbus A320neo aircraft will serve the route.

Guangzhou to Riyadh

The following day, the airline will launch a new route between Guangzhou and Saudi Arabia. The service will operate three times a week with two different time slots.

On Tuesdays and Saturdays, flight number CZ375 will depart from Guangzhou’s Baiyun International Airport at 15:40 and will arrive at Riyadh King Khalid International Airport at 20:10. The return Journey, flight number CZ376, will take off from Riyadh at 22:10 and land back in Guangzhou at 11.55 the following day.

On Thursdays, the flight departs from Guangzhou at 11:30 and arrives in Riyadh at 16:00. The return departs again at 18:00 and arrives back in Guangzhou at 07:45 the next morning. The flight numbers remain the same

Airbus A330-300 aircraft will serve the route. The outbound service will be about nine and a half hours, and about 45 minutes less for the return.

Wuhan to Moscow

A week later, on September 9th, China Southern will relaunch its service between Wuhan and Moscow, which last operated in February 2020.

Flight number CZ8003 will take off from Wuhan Tianhe International Airport on Sundays and Tuesdays at 15:10 and will arrive at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport at 19:15. The return leg, flight number CZ8004, departs from Moscow at 21:15 and arrives back os Wuhan at 10:30 the next morning.

The duration will be a little over nine hours for the outward flight and about an hour less for the return. The aircraft will be an Airbus A350-900.
