Vietnam Airlines to fly HCM to Copenhagen
Thai VietJet to serve Osaka and Tokyo from Bangkok
June 27th, 2025. From December 15th Vietnam Airlines will launch a new direct service between Ho Chi Min City and Copenhagen. The flight will operate three times a week making the Danish capital the airline’s sixth European destination.
Flight number VN39 will take off from Ho Chi Minh’s Tan Son Nhat Airport at 22:45 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and arrive at Copenhagen Airport at 06:00 the next day. The return leg, flight number VN38, will leave Copenhagen at 10:50 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and land back in Ho Chi Minh at 04:30 the following morning.
The flight will be served by Boeing 787-900 aircraft. The duration of the outbound flight will be about thirteen hours and fifteen minutes with the return journey slightly more than eleven and a half hours.
Thai VietJet flies to Japan
Meanwhile, Thai VietJet has lined up two new services to Japan from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport. Both services will operate daily with the first, to Osaka, hitting the runway on December 1st.
Flight number VZ820 will take off from Bangkok at 00:25 and arrive at Osaka’s Kansai International Airport at 07:55. The return trip, flight number VZ821, will depart from Osaka at 08:55 and touch down back in Bangkok at 13:30.
The outbound flight duration will be approximately five and a half hours and the return about one hour longer.
The second new service will head to Tokyo and is set to launch on December 15th.
Flight number VZ830 will depart from Bangkok at 23:55 and touch down at Tokyo’s Narita Airport at 07:55 the next morning. The return leg, flight number VZ831, will leave Tokyo at 08:55 and arrive back in Bangkok at 14:30.
The outward flight duration is scheduled at six hours while the return will be about seven and a half.
Both the above flights will be operated by Airbus A321 aircraft.
