New routes from Shanghai to Europe
And one from Haikou to Kuala Lumpur
April 21st, 2025. China Eastern Airlines will introduce new services to Milan and also to Copenhagen.
First on the runway will be a daily flight linking Shanghai with Milan which will take off on June 20th. Flight number MU243 will depart from Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport at 13:20 and arrive at Milan’s Malpensa Airport at 19:35. The return journey, flight number MU244, will leave Milan at 21:55 and land back in Shanghai at 15:25 the following afternoon.
The westbound journey will take twelve hours and fifteen minutes, the return will be forty-five minutes shorter. The flight will be served by Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
Flights from Shanghai to the Danish capital, Copenhagen, commence on July 17th and will operate three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Flight number MU707 will take off from Shanghai at 13:55 and land at Copenhagen Airport at 19:00. The return leg, flight number MU708 departs from Copenhagen at 21:00 and arrives back in Shanghai at 13:15 the next day.
The flight will be served by Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The expected duration is a little over eleven hours for the outbound flight and about fifty minutes less for the return.
Haikou to Kuala Lumpur
Hainan Airlines is to launch a service linking Haikou with Kuala Lumpur. The flight will operate four times a week on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Flight number HU755 will depart from Haikou’s Meilan Airport at 16:30 and touch down at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 19:55. The return leg, flight number HU756, will leave Kuala Lumpur at 21:05 and land back in Haikou at 00:25 the next morning.
The flight will be served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft and the duration is about three hours and twenty minutes.
