New Flights to India and Russia

March 31st, 2025. Vietnam Airlines will be launching two new flights from Hanoi to destinations in India. First on the runway will be a service to Bengaluru starting on May 1st, The service will operate four times a week on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Flight number VN983 will take off from Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport at 18:55 and arrive at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru at 22:00. The return journey, flight number VN982, will depart from Bengaluru at 23:30 and touch down again in Hanoi at 05:25 the next morning.

The flight duration is about four and a half hours in each direction aboard an Airbus A321 aircraft.

A week later, on May 7th, the airline will launch a new service to Hyderabad, a city that boasts numerous upmarket restaurants and shops. It is also an important tech hub and home to the Hyderabad Information Technology and Engineering Consultancy City otherwise known as HITEC City.

Flight number VN985 will depart from Hanoi at 19:15 and arrive at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at 22:15. The return leg, flight number VN984, will leave Hyderabad at 23:45 and land back in Hanoi at 05:25 the following day.

The flight is served by Airbus A321 aircraft. The outbound journey is scheduled to take four hours and thirty minutes while the return is twenty minutes shorter.

Hanoi to Moscow

The airline will also resume its service to Moscow after a three-year hiatus. The service will initially operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays but plans to add a third by July.

Flight number VN63 will take off from Hanoi at 10:45 and touch down at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport at 15:40. The return leg, flight number VN62, will depart from Moscow at 17:40 and land back in Hanoi at 06:05 the next morning.

A Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner will serve the route. The duration is a little under nine hours for the westbound flight, and about thirty minutes less for the return.
