Junaeyo adds two routes to Kobe
Flights from Shanghai and Nanjing added to the timetable

March 21st, 2025. Starting from April 18th Shanghai-based Junaeyo Airlines will launch a new daily service between Shanghai and Kobe, in Japan. Kobe is located on the north coast of Osaka Bay, 62 kilometres southwest of Kyoto as the crow flies, and about 25 kilometres west of Osaka itself.

The city has long been an important port. It was the five that opened for trade after the Treaty of Amity and Commerce was signed in 1858, along with Nagasaki, Niigata, Osaka, and Yokohama. But its history goes back much further with some of the oldest shrines in the country including the Ikuta Shrine which was founded by Empress Jingu in the 3rd century CE.

Flight number HO1629 will hit the runway at Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport at 14:30 and arrive at Kobe Airport at 18:00. The return leg, flight number HO1630, will depart from Kobe at 19:00 and land back in Shanghai at 20:30.

Nanjing to Kobe

Commencing on April 19th the airline will launch flights from Nanjing. Initially, the service will operate six days a week (excluding Tuesdays) but from April 30th it will become daily.

Flight number HO1507 will take off from Nanjing’s Lukou International Airport at 11:30 and arrive in Kobe at 15:00. The return journey, flight number HO1508, will leave Kobe at 16:00 and land back in Nanjing at 17:30.

The flight time for both services will be two and a half hours and each direction and both will be served by Airbus 320 aircraft
