New Vietnam Airlines routes
Two flights to India, one to Bali
March 13th 2025. Three new services are on the timetable for Vietnam Airlines, two flights to India and one to Bali.
The first to take off will link Hanoi with Bengaluru, the capital of India’s Karnataka state and will operate four times a week on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, commencing on May 1st. Flight number VN983 will depart from Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport at 19:00 and arrive at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru at 22:00. The return journey, flight number VN982 will leave Bengaluru at 23:30 and arrive back in Hanoi at 05:25 the following morning.
The flight duration is around four and a half hours in each direction and will be served by Airbus A321 aircraft.
A service linking the Vietnamese capital with Hyderabad will launch on May 7th and will operate on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Flight number VN985 will depart from Hanoi at at 19:15 and arrive at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad at 22:15. The return leg, flight number VN984, will depart from Hyderabad at 23:45 and land back in Hanoi at 05:25 the next morning.
The outbound flight is four hours and thirty minutes and about twenty minutes less for the return. The airline will deploy Airbus A321 aircraft.
Ho Chi Minh City to Bali
Starting from June 1st, Vietnam Airlines will link Ho Chi Minh City with Denpasar in Bali, Indonesia. The flight will operate on Sundays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for the first month and increase to daily in July.
Flight number VN641 will take off from Chi Minh’s Tan Son Nhat Airport at 10:25 and arrive at Denpasar’s Ngurah Rai International Airport at 15:00. The return journey, flight number VN640, will depart from Denpasar at 16:00 and land back in Ho Chi Minh at 18:40.
The flight is served by Airbus A321 and the flying time is about three hours and forty minutes in each direction.
• VietJet has announced plans to link Ho Chi Minh City with Aukland, in New Zealand but as yet there are no further details
