Vietjet expands services to India
JANUARY 28th, 2025. New flights connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Hyderabad and Bengaluru will be launched on the 18th and 19th of March respectively. The new services will bring the number of connections the airline offers between Vietnam and India to ten with Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kochi, and Mumbai also served.
The service to Hyderabad will commence on March 18th with two flights per week on Tuesdays, and Saturdays.
Hyderabad is a major tech centre and home to the Hyderabad Information Technology and Engineering Consultancy City otherwise known as HITEC City. It is ranked as one of the best cities in India to live in and boasts numerous upmarket restaurants and shops.
Flight number VJ1803 will take off from Ho Chi Minh’s Tan Son Nhat Airport at 19:40 and arrive at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad at 22:35. The return leg, flight number VJ1804, departs from Hyderabad at 23:30 and lands back in Ho Chi Minh at 05:35 the following morning.
The flight will take around four and a half hours in each direction and will be served by an Airbus A321 aircraft.
The Silicon Valley of India
The Bengaluru service will hit the runway on March 19th and operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The city, formerly known as Bangalore and still often known by that name is the capital of the southern Indian state of Karnataka. Another important IT hub, it is often labelled the Silicon Valley of India
Flight number VJ1801 will depart from Ho Chi Minh at 19:10 and land at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport at 22:30. The return trip, flight number VJ1802, will depart from Bengaluru at 23:30 and arrive back in Ho Chi Minh at 06;00 next morning.
The flight times are both about five hours and the aircraft is an Airbus A321.
