From Phuket direct to Kochi
New routes out of Phnom Penh
JANUARY 27th, 2025. Thai AirAsia is adding a service between Phuket and Kochi, a major port city in Kerala state, southern India. The new route will take off on April 11th and operate on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Kochi has been an important trading post for hundreds of years, exporting, amongst others, spices, pearls, diamonds, sapphires, ivory and silk. Today it is affectionately known as the Queen of the Arabian Sea and is the main commercial and industrial hub of Kerala. Visitors flock to Kochi for its lazy backwater boathouse cruises, while Phuket has long been a magnet for Indian visitors.
Flight number FD196 will depart from Phuket International Airport at 23:35 and arrive at Cochin International Airport at 01:35 the following morning. The return leg, flight number FD197 will leave Kochi at 02:30 on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and land back in Phuket at at 07:45.
This will be the airline’s third direct flight to India from Phuket after Chennai, and Kolkata.
New routes out of Phnom Penh
Starting January 27th, Air Cambodia will add Phu Quoc, in Vietnam, to its timetable. The flight will operate three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Flight number K6 830 will take off from Phnom Penh International Airport at 14:05 and arrive in Phu Quoc forty minutes later at 14:45. The return trip, flight number K6 831, leaves Phu Quoc at 15:30 and lands back in Phnom Penh at 16:20. The flight deploys an Airbus A320 aircraft
From February 17th, the airline will be launching a daily service between Phnom Penh and Bangkok. Flight number K6 722 will depart from Phnom Penh International Airport at 09:50 and touch down at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport at 11:00.
The return leg, flight number K6 723 leaves Bangkok at 12:00 and lands back in Phnom Penh at 13:10. The flight duration is seventy minutes and will be served by Airbus A320 aircraft.
