Hainan Airlines flies Beijing to Tokyo

September 2nd, 2024. Hainan Airlines landed its inaugural Beijing to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport flight in the small hours of September 2nd. The flight is scheduled to operate three times a week from Beijing Capital International Airport with flight number HU 7919 departing at 21:15 on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, touching down in Tokyo at 01:30 local time.

The return leg, flight number HU 7920, will depart from Haneda at 03:00 on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays arriving back in Beijing at 5:50. The service deploys a Boeing 737-800. The outward flight time is around 3 hours and fifteen minutes while the return trip will be a little under four hours.

Hainan Airlines was founded in 1989 and is headquartered in Haikou, Hainan province in the south of the country. This new service marks the company’s fourth direct flight to Japan after Beijing to Osaka and flights to Tokyo’s Narita airport from both Beijing and Xi’an.

The airline operates an extensive domestic network and is aiming at adding over fifty international and regional round-trip passenger routes with flights operating out of Beijing, Changsha, Chongqing, Dalian, Guangzhou, Haikou, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Taiyuan, and Xi’an.
